We are a small friendly club based in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, and welcome able bodied and disabled archers, of all standards from novice to expert.

History
Situated at the Worksop RUFC Stubbing Lane Worksop, Bassetlaw Bowmen was officially opened by Worksop District councillor Bob Webster and his wife who presented badges of office to Bassetlaw Bowmen’s newly formed committee members Pat Malkin, Jim Malkin and Joyce Greenwood.
Bassetlaw Bowmen was formed October 1989 with just 3 members, one boss and one set of legs.
With a large donation from the local pet food factory "Carnation Foods Ltd" and other donations from The County Archery Society, Bassetlaw Council and fund raising by our members we had sufficient funds to purchase additional equipment which put us in a good position to put on our first open shoot.
Our first tournament in April 1991 consisted of 5 targets, in October the same year we hosted a pie n pea shoot.
Today Bassetlaw Bowmen are known for their two, well attended tournaments and especially renowned for their home made "Pies" accompanied with chips peas and gravy.
